Greg Palast is known for his investigations for The Guardian, BBC Television, Rolling Stone, and Democracy Now!. He is the author of New York Time’s Bestsellers: The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, Armed Madhouse, and Billionaires and Ballot Bandits. Greg is also the creator of films including Vigilantes Inc. America’s New Vote Suppression Hitmen, The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, and the upcoming Long Knife. Palast is known for creating the field of investigating issues of racial vote suppression, beginning with his discovery, in 2000, of the wrongful purge of 58,000 black voters in the state of Florida. His work has been essential to combatting voter suppression, and regularly works with notable civil rights organizations like the NAACP, RainbowPush, The Black Voters Mater Fund, Voto Latino, and the Coalition for Transformative Justice.

Palast, a forensic economist, has lectured at Harvard, Cambridge University, and the University of São Paulo on voting rights issues, energy, and indigenous rights.

The Palast Investigative Fund was founded by journalist Greg Palast to support independent journalistic projects that are too difficult, risky, costly, or controversial for American newspapers, radio and television to attempt. Palast directs his team of award-winning researchers and producers to pursue, produce and disseminate these reports using traditional and new media strategies—successfully reaching both a wide public audience and policy-makers.

Currently, the Palast team is making the documentary sequel to the film Killers of the Flower Moon, work supported by George and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film concentrates on Palast’s decades long investigation of Koch Oil.

Palast has been an advisor to the United Nations, the US Department of Justice, a dozen state attorneys general, and the United Steelworkers of America.
